Last updated: 1 June 2026

MealsCloud ("we", "our", or "us") operates the MealsCloud platform available at mealscloud.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using MealsCloud, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you register for an account, join our waitlist, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, city, and business type (home chef or cloud kitchen). When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information processed securely through our payment providers.

Information generated through use. When you use MealsCloud to manage your menu, receive orders, and track sales, we collect data about those activities — menu items, order details, sales figures, and operational usage patterns. This data is yours and is used to deliver the service to you.

Technical and device information. We automatically collect certain technical data when you access MealsCloud: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs. This information is used for platform security, performance monitoring, and service improvement.

Customer data you share with us.When your customers place orders through your MealsCloud menu link, their name, contact information, delivery address, and order details are collected by MealsCloud on your behalf. You, as the kitchen owner, are the data controller for your customers' information. We act as a data processor for this data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We will not use your data for any purpose materially different from those described above without notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We do not trade, rent, or sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Service providers. We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate MealsCloud — including cloud hosting providers (Neon, Vercel), payment processors, email delivery services, and analytics platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable law.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by Pakistani law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MealsCloud, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If MealsCloud is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email and/or a prominent notice on our platform before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take your data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, financial records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes).

Order and sales data associated with your account is retained for the lifetime of your account so you have access to historical records. If you request deletion, this data will be removed along with your account.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve MealsCloud. Essential cookies are required for the platform to function. Analytics cookies help us understand how the platform is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 14 business days.

8. Children's Privacy

MealsCloud is intended for use by adults operating food businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of MealsCloud after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.
