JazzCash, Easypaisa, or COD: Which Payment Methods to Offer Your Customers

Offering the right payment options increases completed orders. Here is what Pakistani home chefs and cloud kitchens should know about each method.

JazzCash, Easypaisa, or COD: Which Payment Methods to Offer Your Customers

Every time a customer reaches the checkout and does not see their preferred payment method, there is a chance they abandon the order. For home chefs and cloud kitchens, offering the right payment options is not a nice-to-have — it directly affects how many orders you complete.

Cash on Delivery (COD)

COD remains the most widely used payment method for food orders in Pakistan. Customers pay the rider when their order arrives. For customers who do not trust online payment or do not use mobile wallets, COD is the only option that works.

Pros: Highest customer comfort level, no payment failure risk, works for all customer segments.
Cons: You receive payment at delivery (cash flow delay), risk of order rejection at the door, you need to manage cash with your rider.

Verdict: Always offer COD. Never make it your only option.

JazzCash

JazzCash is the largest mobile wallet in Pakistan with over 35 million registered users. It is widely used across urban and semi-urban areas and is particularly popular for everyday digital payments.

Pros: Instant confirmation, money in your account immediately, no need for physical cash exchange.
Cons: Requires the customer to have a JazzCash account and know how to send money — not all customers are comfortable with this.

Verdict: Offer JazzCash. A significant portion of your customers will prefer it over COD.

Easypaisa

Easypaisa, run by Telenor, has a strong presence particularly in smaller cities and with Telenor subscribers. It covers a different segment than JazzCash and is often preferred in areas where Telenor has stronger network coverage.

Pros: Reaches customers JazzCash might not, instant transfer, growing user base.
Cons: Slightly smaller urban user base compared to JazzCash.

Verdict: Offer Easypaisa alongside JazzCash — they cover different customer segments.

Bank Transfer

For larger orders — catering, bulk orders, corporate orders — customers may prefer direct bank transfer (IBFT). This is more common for orders above PKR 3,000–5,000.

Pros: Works for any amount, preferred by corporate customers, no wallet required.
Cons: Slower confirmation time, requires you to manually verify payment.

Verdict: Enable bank transfer as an option for larger order values.

The Simple Rule: Offer Everything

The data is clear — home chefs and cloud kitchens that offer COD, JazzCash, Easypaisa, and bank transfer complete more orders than those who restrict to one or two methods. Every payment restriction is a potential lost order.
